I was looking for a post close inspection to compare with the seller's pre-close report and get a better/much more detailed report of possible repairs that I would need to undertake. Scott more than delivered. First, he was available on very short notice (3 days) and spent close to 6 hours reviewing my home top to bottom. We were looking for a home inspection prior to closing. We needed to schedule an appointment ASAP. We found Elite Homes & Commercial Property Inspections in the Black Diamond directory. Barbara was very accommodating in scheduling. I was able to get a last-minute inspection. Scott, the inspector was very thorough, spent 7 hours on a 1920 sq ft single story house. The inspection report is very comprehensive in highlighting deficiencies which are prioritized with the corrective recommendations associated with each. Our realtor was so impressed she plans on using Elite Homes in the future. They saved me from a "money pit" investment property. I highly recommend their services.

A few days ago I had Elite come out to do a roof inspection on my house. Scott showed up right on time and ready to go. What struck me immediately was his professionalism and depth of experience. He has a wide range of knowledge about a multitude of aspects in the construction and building arenas. He also took his time to fully investigate the issues I presented and document his findings. He was very easy to talk to and was super helpful when describing those findings so that I fully understood the issues and a number of options for resolution/remedy. We just bought our home last year and had a leak spring up above the front door during the last big rain. Scott was very thorough and happy to spend time discussing the potential issues, what we could do about it right away, and how we might navigate the longer-term issue of a roof that he assessed to be near the end of its life, and how we can further research and document the current state. As a bonus, he even discussed our recently installed autogate, and pointed out several issues that need to be fixed that I had not even noticed yet. Will definitely be reaching out to Elite Home & Commercial Property Inspection in the future, probably during and after this roofing issue is addressed.

We asked Elite Inspections to provide a roof inspection on our recently purchased house as we suspected a few small leaks after the recent storms. Scott was thorough and patient in explaining and showing me his findings in real time. He also gave me a ton of tips and other things to look out for around our home. Because they only do inspections, I didn't feel like I was being sold anything I don't actually need. We plan to bring him back for a full home inspection in the next couple months. He was also on time and great at communicating. We received a comprehensive report via email a few hours later detailing our recommended next steps. I really can't recommend them enough.

Scott is an incredible inspector for 3 main reasons. He (1) clearly takes a lot of pride is his work, (2) is incredibly detailed and has a very critical eye and (3) has previously built homes before giving him a better understanding than many inspectors.
It is very rare to find a home inspector that has all 3 of these characteristics. I've already referred a number of our friends. Don't hesitate to call him, you'll thank yourself.

I contacted Elite Home & Commercial Property to inspect my home - as I am currently going through a difficult but small remodel. The quality of my contractor's work and the issues that I could visually recognize left me concerned about the plumbing, electrical, and structural work they completed that I could not see or speak to. As my concerns included plumbing, Scott came with a licensed plumber to review the work, and photograph and document issues that they found. They were very prompt both arriving on time, -Scott actually arrived early and called to see if he could begin early. They did a thorough assessment, explaining the issues that they found, showing pictures, and detailing what needed to be done to fix the problems. Just a few hours later I received a fully documented assessment that i could share with my contractor. A good lesson for me here - I should have insisted on permits for this job - My licensed contractor did not think it was necessary - I will know better next time. The money spent on the inspection was well worth my piece of mind.

So appreciative of this duo! Barbara was extremely responsive when looking for a more extensive inspection of my property. Scott was able to come out fairly quickly to inspect the property in detail. The main focus of the overall inspection was structural, from attic to the foundation. Scott is so personable and kind! He listened to my concerns and addressed them all in the report. He took several pictures internally to log cracks, and noted defects outside of the dwelling that may warrant additional review. He is truly an expert in the field of construction in general, and is "solution-oriented". Each defect noted in the report came with a specialist recommendation for further review: structural engineer, contractor, etc. Scott even provided some referrals for additional assistance. Overall, a great experience with a knowledgeable resource, and a better understanding of what needs to be done to the property! Thank you!!
